The city of Rio de Janeiro is known for its tropical landscape, carnival and soccer. These are among our best assets, but they are far from being the only ones. Rio hosts headquarters to brazilian leading companies in the creative economy sectors, such as audiovisual, movies and design, as well as major oil & gas, mining, media and telecommunications companies. We have some of the best universities in Latin America, congregate a modern creative industry cluster and have one of the most qualified labor forces in the country. Rio is a city that holds the best in creativity, nature and business.

We are also experiencing a process of urban renovation. The port area is receiving a investments that are rehabilitating its surroundings. The tourist sector prepares to host major international events in the next years, including the 2011 Military Games, 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. For all that, the creative sector is essential in order to bring the best solutions for Rio. All of that is happening in a city elected by Forbes Magazine as “world’s happiest city”[*].
