Oklahoma the State of Creativity

Creative Oklahoma, Inc. Creative Oklahoma, is a collaborative, state-wide initiative supporting a mission to establish Oklahoma as a world-renowned center of creativity and innovation in commerce, culture and education. Creative Oklahoma, Inc., has four basic goals:

  • leverage existing creativity and elevate the creative potential of Oklahomans;
  • empower all Oklahomans to develop their capacity for creativity and innovation;
  • facilitate the growth of an entrepreneurial economy that will stimulate new careers, companies and industries;
  • facilitate the further development of world-class cultural and educational opportunities

Oklahoma is facilitating discussions with other programs around the United States to potentially develop collaborative efforts among other organizations with the purpose of sharing best practices in creativity, in business, education, and the arts.

In 2010, the Creativity World Forum will be held in the United States, November 15-17, 2010. Oklahoma is honored to host this prestigious event which will be held in Oklahoma City. The Creativity World Forum is an annual conference on entrepreneurial creativity, and brings together world renowned experts on creative thinking and innovation.

Entrepreneurs, scientists, educators, students, artists and policy makers come together to learn from inspiring speakers, exchange ideas and experiences, and network. Oklahoma will be brought to the world’s attention as a young and emerging center of creative solutions, sharing the state’s innovative practices in the fields of education, commerce and culture.

In addition to the Creativity World Forum, Oklahoma is working with the Kaufmann foundation to launch Global Entrepreneurship Week in Oklahoma City on November 15, 2010, with Creative Oklahoma, Inc., Carl Schramm, and other visionaries who understand the value of ideas, creativity and the importance of the next generation of entrepreneurs.
